There is no single ideal weight for your height — there is a range. This calculator converts the WHO healthy BMI band (18.5–24.9) into a weight range for your height. Enter your height below to see your range.

What is the Healthy Weight Range tool?

The Healthy Weight Range tool is a free tool that shows the weight range for your height. It uses the WHO BMI band of 18.5 to 24.9. It shows a range, never one ideal number. It is general information, not medical advice.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose your height unit — centimetres or feet and inches.
  2. Enter your height.
  3. Select Show my range to see your range.
  4. Read the range and the explanation beside it.

Why a range, not one number

Two people at the same height can both be perfectly healthy at weights several kilograms apart. Muscle mass, bone density, frame size, and body composition all shift where you naturally sit. A single "ideal" number pretends that variation does not exist — a range respects it. If you are muscular, you may sit near or above the top of the range while carrying little fat. If you have a slight frame, you may sit near the bottom and be completely healthy.

Frequently asked questions

What is a healthy weight for my height?

There is no single ideal number. The WHO healthy BMI band (18.5–24.9) converts to a weight range for your height — for example, roughly 56–76 kg at 175 cm. Where you sit inside that range depends on muscle, bone density, and body composition.

Why a range instead of one ideal weight?

Because bodies differ. Two people at the same height can both be healthy at weights several kilograms apart, depending on muscle mass, frame, and build. A range respects that variation; a single number pretends it does not exist.

What if my weight is outside the healthy range?

It is one signal, not a verdict. BMI does not measure muscle or body composition, and weight alone does not determine health. If you are concerned, talk to a clinician — steady habits beat extreme fixes either way.

Do I need to sign up to use this healthy weight calculator?

No. The tool works right here in your browser — no account, no name or email needed.
